Upcoming Projects

Southeast Asia, 2017:

In June 2017, Micah Global Foundation will return to Southeast Asia partnering with a church plant, an international church and a local school dedicated to slum children could not afford tuition to the local schools.  We will again continue our partnership with a faith based non-profit organization. 

1.     Slum school - career seminars and academic forums for secondary students

2.     Children - will continue to come alongside the school with English conversation and teacher partnering

3.     Capacity building in the local church- assist local church plant with evening of Faith & Work experiences of professionals

Past Project

Cape Town, South Africa, 2015:

In August 2015, Micah Global returned to Cape Town to partner with one of Redeemer City to City's international churches, Common Ground Church.  We partnered with non-profit organizations and township afternoon programs for children. 

1.     Job readiness for immigrants - teaching seminars on project management, finance, and career planning

2.     Children - ran a Vacation Bible School for 80 children in the Khayelitsha township

3.     Homeless women - seeking to build their fledgling Hope Soap business

Joni and Friends Family Retreat Camp, 2015:

“…with God all things are possible…” was the theme for Joni and Friends Family Retreat this year where the Larsons volunteered the first week of July.  Started by Joni Eareckson Tada, Joni and Friends ministry provides Gospel-centered programming, support and encouragement to families who are affected by disabilities.  More about this experience on the blog page at: http://www.micahglobalfoundation.org/blogs/

Cape Town, South Africa, 2013-2014:

In August 2013 and 2014, Micah Global partnered with one Redeemer City to City's international churches, Common Ground Church.  This project focused on working with children in the slums, immigrants and former addicts, and the unemployed --  all in the context of long-term partnership and relationship with ministries the Church has an ongoing commitment to.

Arusha, Tanzania:

In 2012, Micah Global partnered with local Christian schools to provide educational opportunities as well as Vacation Bible School for children.

Accra, Ghana:

In July 2012, partnering with the Salvation Army in Ghana, a team from Micah Global spoke at local schools and befriended local Salvation Army leadership to partner in their ongoing work.
